چکیده

Purpose.Influence of preheating temperature and sodium silicate solute content in sand-sodium-silicate mixtures structured by SMS-process on their destruction work under knock loading action has been established. Methodology. Quartz sand brand 1K2O202, water, with specific gravity 1.42…1.44 g/cm3 modulus 2.8… 3.0 have used this work. Mixtures structuring realized microwave furnace frequency 2.45 GHz magnetron power 0.9 kW. Samples heat treatment performed laboratory resistance range from 100 to 1100С sample isothermal tempering at fixed for 45...50 minutes. knockout calculated according CNIITMASH method. impact machine 5033A. structure examined optical microscope 100-times magnification. Results. With increasing steam-microwave environment SMS-method, containing 0.5 2.5% 2.8 ... 3.0, decreases exponentially. At 800 1100°C it becomes practically zero. Mixtures, preheated 600°C, does not exceed 20J. It follows that such rods or individual parts can be removed castings shock-vibration method, even copper aluminum based alloys. Knockout the parts, which after contact poured into mold melt did recommended carry out immersing water. Scientific originality. Mold core solves problem sandsodium-silicate mixtures, up 2.5%, most foundry alloys industry. Practicalvalue. Investigation results will useful removal molds, SMS-process, technologies equipment development.

Study on Solidification Behavior of Aluminium alloy (LM6) Castings by using Computer aided Simulation software

Method layout of a casting is an important aspect of tooling development. It involves decisions regarding part orientation in mould, parting line, cores, cavity layout, feeders, neck and gating system. An improper method layout leads either poor quality or low yield, which affects the productivity. Method design is mostly carried out manually, using 2D drawing of the cast part. Then tooling is ...

Microwave permittivity of dry sand

The complex, relative dielectric permittivity " of dry desert sand, collected at the Grand Erg Oriental in Ksar Ghilane, Tunisia, in October 1994, was measured with microwave resonators at frequencies between 0.245 and 6 GHz. The results are presented here. Whereas the real part "0 is nearly independent of frequency, a monotonous decrease of the imaginary part "00 with increasing frequency is o...
